"outburst of anger and frustration out of no where, if they don't get what they want. Isn't that what the villains do in movies when their super villain plans failed?"

On our last day of school which was on 30th November, a day before Maulidur Rasul. We had a "SuperHeroes Fun Day" here at Kidana Academy.

We encouraged our students to wear their favorite hero costume and not just the students, even teachers were all dressed up as superheroes too!

MasyaALLAH we were all so excited on that special fun day, we even made a DIY mask, costumes and decos! Oh my, we teachers were shocked to see how obsessed the children were with the idea of this superheroes day.

Then it hit us.

Why kids nowadays are not only imitating just the superheroes, but the villains too?

Yea they didn't kill anyone or steal anything, maybe... just making a scene like outburst of anger and frustration out of no where, if they don't get what they want. Isn't that what the villains do in movies when their super villain plans failed?

We knew then we had to do something about this.

So on that very morning, the little superheroes were all gathered and they walked up to Kidana Hall for a special assembly. Why was it special? We had a mini Mawlid parade! Our Principal aka TokMama, made a special story telling speech about

"Who is our real SUPERHERO?"

She asked "Who is your favorite SuperHero?"

Everyone started to shout " Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Ironman, Captain America, The Hulk, StarWars, Elsa, Snow White!" (yup, the lil girl's superheroes are the princesses, who could blame them for being cute huh? lol)

Then, she asked "Are they real?" many of the children answered "Nooooo!"

"Why?" and the children had no answer.

She continued, "Because SuperHeroes are only on TV, their powers are not real, they are only camera tricks"

Fortunately and to our relief, many of them agreed and some even said " It's like playing to pretend for fun"

TokMama asked again, "Then who is our real SuperHero?"

The children were quiet, no one had any idea.

As she swung up her green lightsaber (TokMama dressed up as a Star Wars character)

she asked " What color is this?" "Green!" they shouted

"Anyone knows whose favorite color is this?" she hinted

"Prophet Muhammad S.A.W" the older kids answered

Finally we got the right answer out from the kids, Alhamdulillah!

This is what parents nowadays keep forgetting,To introduce our Prophet to their children. Children should know:

1. How Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was brought up

2. What was his favorite color

3. How did he speak to others

4. How Islam has spread throughout the whole world even after so many thousands years!

And still spreading.. SubhanaALLAH!

5. And most importantly, with the birth of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W , Allah has brought

down mercy to the entire world as stated in the Al Quran “And We have not sent you,

[O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” Al-anbiyaa: 107

What can we do now? Should we make our children stop watching superheroes on TV?

That's not really necessary. Let them watch, they need it for their happy childhood.

This is what you should add on in your "Parenting List"

Introduce our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W to the children

Love,
